Marketers Sell Hope

If you narrow down your perspective, marketers sell products. But… in fact, marketers sell “hope”.

Let’s take the classic example, if someone buys an alarm clock they didn’t just buy the alarm clock, instead, they bought the hope of waking up early and being healthy. Because being healthy is the bigger motivation here.

The message in the above image is very true and extremely powerful. We all are in this hope business.

Customers don’t really care about how cutting-edge tech it is or how cheap something is, they only care about themselves. If you make them believe that they will have a better future by using this product, they will buy it.

Saying it again…

Sell hope, and people will buy anything.

That’s it.
