#23 Building a Blog in Public – No Growth

Hey folks!

It’s the 23rd week since I started the challenge of building and growing the SEO blog in public.

We (I and Bikash) haven’t been able to put enough time into creating content for the site lately. In fact, the last article was published a week ago but before that, we didn’t publish anything for more than 4 weeks.

I am not saying that publishing regularly has some ranking benefits, no. But as the site doesn’t have enough content, publishing more high-quality content is the only way to get more impressions and eventually get more clicks when it ranks.

Because we are not publishing or creating backlinks for the site, the growth has been pretty horizontal for the last month. In fact, even impressions are not on the rise when checked in the search console.

But as more and more quality content is planned for the upcoming weeks, I am confident that we will force the graphs to rise.

Last week, we published a 7500+ words guide on dental SEO, and it has already brought more than 30 users to the site and 2 DMs from potential dental clients. Cool, isn’t it?

Apart from that, we now have 67 subscribers to the free 7-day SEO email course. And the average email open rate is 50.75% which is good considering the industry standard.

In the coming weeks, we will be creating more useful content and creating backlinks as well.

That’s it for this week’s update.

See ya!
