[Daily] 16 Sep 2022; Starting to read history, again

I used to be a lot interested in history, but last year, I got busy with many projects and lost that interest. I think, I should start reading history books again. Somehow, I get fascinated by reading about how humans have been in the past.

I am a firm believer in “history repeats itself” and relating those old stories to the current world situations seems so fascinating. It screams the fact that we, humans, are still the same at the core. Nothing really has changed.

Reading history books also teaches a lot about “power”. It gives you the core understanding of how and what the world is built upon and how exactly the world functions. It exposes politics and provides answers to most of your “why” questions.

I will start by re-reading the “The Lessons of History” book, as it’s been one of my favorites for years. And then move towards other read or unread books.

Today, I would be writing a detailed memo/white paper for the new service that we are starting. I am sure that writing down all the thoughts will make us understand the core even better, and that’s ultimately going to be a win for our customers.

Let’s see how the day goes.

See ya!
